Our first concert will be held on Tuesday, October 8 at 7:00pm in the Pearce Auditorium. Here is the schedule and other details you need to know (“~” means approximate):
8:15am KROO members set up the stage BEFORE school
4:20pm KROO members assist with photo setup in the cafeteria
4:45-6pm Individual photos in the cafeteria (come and go…) 6-6:45 Group photos in the cafeteria (REQUIRED) (6:10–Concert; 6:20–Chamber; 6:30–Phil)
~6:15 Concert Orchestra warms up in the orchestra room
~6:30 Chamber Orchestra warms up in the large ensemble room
~6:45 Philharmonic Orchestra warms up in the orchestra room
6:55 All students to the stage/audience for Concert attendance; students will be expected to sit with their orchestra and view the entire concert
7:00 Concert Orchestra performs
~7:20 Philharmonic Orchestra performs
~7:50 Chamber Orchestra performs
~8:15 Concert is concluded
Other facts and reminders:
Attire is formal!!! GIRLS: black dress (or other approved uniform) and dressy shoes (no flip-flops) BOYS: Tux shirt, pants, jacket, bow tie, cummerbund, black socks and black dress shoes (no tennis shoes)
You may bring your clothes to school on the day of the concert or go home and change but be sure you plan ahead. The same applies to dinner if you want to eat before our pictures and performance.
Group photos are REQUIRED as part of the Performance Grade.
Individual photos are OPTIONAL but highly encouraged; the product is really quite stunning (see examples attached). If a parent would like their child(ren) to be photographed in their orchestra uniform with their instrument please fill out the attached photo order form and bring it with you to the photo session.

The first concert of the year is coming up soon! Our Fall Concert is slated for Tuesday, October 8 at 7:00 pm in the JJP Auditorium. We are planning to have cookies and brownies to serve our guests after the concert.
J.J. Pearce Orchestra Family Pancake Supper

This is a great chance to meet other orchestra families.
SPRING TRIP MEETING: There will be a meeting for both students and parents for the 2013 Spring Trip on Tuesday April 9, 2013 at 7:00 PM in the Orchestra Room. We will be discussing all details and answering any questions that you might have.
SPRING TRIP REHEARSALS: Philharmonic and Concert Orchestras will be combining as an ensemble for the spring trip. Because these orchestras meet during different class times, we will need to have some after school rehearsals in which we combine ensembles to prepare for the trip. Rehearsals will be on the following days.
